Disneyland can be a little overwhelming at times, and you may find yourself looking for some extra guidance during your trip. Whether you are looking for show times, need dining reservations, or are looking for disability assistance, the guest relations lobbies scattered throughout the resort are there to help.

City Hall

The biggest guest relations center in the resort is City Hall on Main Street USA. Here, you can find anything from maps in different languages to pins marking special occasions. Outside of the Disneyland gate and the California Adventure gate, you can find smaller guest relations lobbies, which offer the same services. California Adventure also has a guest relations lobby on Buena Vista Street, tucked behind the gas station.

City Hall and the Guest Relations Lobbies offer the following services:

  • Guide Maps in multiple languages
  • Ride/Attraction translators in multiple languages
  • Show and parade times for the day
  • Ride/Attraction closures or breakdown updates
  • Disability Services
  • Reservations/tickets for Disney Dining, tours, hotels, or park ticket upgrades
  • Lost guest assistance
  • Foreign currency exchange
  • General assistance

If you have any questions during your trip, you can find support at City Hall or the Guest Relations Lobbies. And even if you don’t have too many questions, get a button at City Hall (they’re free!) and check out the building; it’s a Main Street classic with tons of detail.

  1. Purchased multiple (3 day) ticket my wife and 2 kids as a Mother’s Day gift. We went 1 time. Before we could go back (my wife and daughter got Covid) the passes expired. These were $1,600 dollar tickets with genie and parking for 3 days. The passes expired before we could return the second time. Contacted Disneyland and was told they could do nothing to help. My wife is a Disney super fan and had been a pass holder for over 15 years. I lost over $1,200 since our family could not use the other 2 days. They would not extend the tickets or refund the unused portion. Disney used to treat it customers very well. Now they are just cold and heartless. They are cost cutting to the extreme.

  2. Hello Guest Relations of Disneyland. I’m reaching out to Disney with my concerns, frustration, angry, and my hurt from one of your cast members that didn’t provide me the proper information I was asking.

Let me start with how My husband and I spend so much money go to Disneyland 3-4 times a years for hotel, airfare, transportation to and from the airport, merchandise purchased every-time we come to Disneyland, only to be given false information by a cast member of Disney. These cast members are suppose to be the representative or ambassador to Mickey’s guest. When talking to a guest cast members are suppose to provide accurate information pertains to the parks policy’s and procedure to ensure a magical experience each and every time.

My husband and I are not rich, not financially, secure, as we work almost paycheck to paycheck. We don’t ave money to just throw away. Sacrifice enjoying our lives where we live to to afford to go to Disneyland the 3-4 times a year. We preferred to always stay on the properties, cause we want our experience to be magical from beginning to the end.

On May 4, 2019 My husband and I decided to use our savings to be a part of Galaxy’s Edge for our 4 hour reservations. During this time, I deduced I wanted to come dressed as Princess Leia. Before I made the courageous move to purchase everything I would need to make my dream a reality proceed with my plans, I contact Disneyland Resort to find out what would be the policy for dressing up.

While speaking to a cast member on May 14th, asking him questions about whether I can or not, I informed him that my costume in no way would look like Princess Leia. I explained to him that it is the outfit she wore in the beginning of Star Wars when she was captured. Also, letting him know that the dress I’m would being hiring a seamstress to create will be above my knees with a trail in the back. He claimed he wasn’t sure about it and as we talk further into the questions I was asking, he said that he didn’t see any conflicts of my doing this idea. I asked again if he can reach out to his manager and just confirm, cause I still wanted to hear it was going to be fine. After, being placed a brief hold returned back to say his manager also, didn’t see problem with me dressing up, just make sure the train s not dragging on the floor, cause it can cause an issue getting on and off the rides. Being given this information started me on my spending to create the outfit.

After getting off the phone with this cast member, I was at the fabric store purchasing all the fabric that I would need including and accessories to make a belt cost of fabric and materials, $143.00. Jewelry to where around the turtle neck style of the costume$96.00. Gold sequence 3 inch logo boots. $$85.00. A authentic Princess Leia wig import from Hong Kong with a three day express $104.00. Make-up, brushes, a case to be able to carry all this purchased at Sephora to get the right look $335.00. Paying a professional make-up artist to teach me how to apply make-up $200.00 for two session. Booking the room for just three nights over $1,900.00. Time spent driving all over the city to find everything I need, time wasted putting this reality to life cost Priceless.

The angry, hurt, frustration, and misinformation given to me, just brought stress to me. I worked two months straight with no days off, so my husband and I can come to Disneyland. Two months of barely seeing my husband, two months of not going out with friends and family, two months of no days off to relax and enjoy life, only to find out that I can’t dressed for Galaxy’s Edge. The work and time that went into this wasted, cause I was told something completely different. This trip is costing close to $3,000, money my husband and I could’ve use on two different life experiences.

Disneyland has gone above and beyond to mistreat their loyal costumers, just cause they want to go live their dreams. Think about what Disneyland is doing with high price admission to the attractions. The just shows that Disney doesn’t care about their guest rather than show all of us that they’re in it for a profit and profit alone. Disney are you just pricing every thing for those who have more money to spend rather than making it affordable for each guest and family.

It s June 1st and we fly out in less than 24 hours. If I was given the right information, over $800.00 could have been saved. Now we are going with snack and food, as we now can’t afford to eat in Disney our entire trip there. We don’t have money to purchase merchandise while we are there. I have called and was not transfer to guest relation, but told that I can contact via email and wait until a cast member will get in touch with you.

I would like Disney to literally reach out to me and tell me why I was told what I was told.

    • Hi Chris – I don’t work for Disney; this is a fan blog dedicated to the resort. If you’d like to issue a complaint about the resort’s costume policy, please reach out to guest services directly at (714) 781-4636.

  3. Our special military appreciation 3 day park hoppers for my family were appreciated. The problems we experienced on the first day Tue MAy 23 left a very bad taste we could only get get on one ride the rides we wanted to get on shut down or were not running our 5 yr old granddaughter was here with us for her birthday. We did go all in to make this special an feel Disneyland let us down. Food is not good an too high priced as Starbucks gold card holder I have never paid $3 for a tall regular coffee! The rides being shut down an others shutting down with over 2 hour wait is unacceptable! We stayed at Paridice Pier room was good breakfast with chapters cost over $200 dollars not worth the cost. We would appreciate some accomidation or we may not come back

    • I’m sorry to hear you didn’t have a great first visit to Disneyland. Unfortunately, the end of May is a bad time to go, with the combination of Grad Nites, Memorial Day crowds, and summer kickoff events drawing in the masses. If you want to visit Disneyland again, I’d recommend trying in the off-season (September – November or January – March) for lighter crowds.
