With Star Wars Land construction changing much of the park’s landscape, Disneyland’s Railroad will be closed until the new land’s debut. But this closure isn’t all bad; guests now have a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the train! Let’s go behind the scenes at the Disneyland Railroad.

Stop by the New Orleans Square railroad station for a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Disneyland Railroad. Hop inside and get a closer look at the real 19th century steam engine, or cross the tracks and explore the “forbidden” side of the station!

It was so cool to see the telegraph office up close.

Next to the telegraph office, the Railroad is hosting a special exhibit on the history of trains and Walt’s passion for locomotion.

This exhibit will stay in New Orleans Square until Star Wars Land construction ends in late 2017. If you’re visiting the resort before then, and have any interest in this famous attraction, it’s a must.

All aboard!

    • Thanks, Chad! The engineers were incredibly nice; they took lots of time to explain the controls and engine to us. It was a lot of fun!
