April 2016 – present
Downtown Disney – Chapel Hats is a smaller shop in Downtown Disney’s central circle, which surronds the Uva Bar. If you’re coming from the hotels, you’ll find Chapel Hats on your left, just beyond Build-A-Bear Worshop.
- Merchandise – Hats, hair accessories, and weather accessories
- Price Range – Most hats are in the $30 – $60 range
- Unique Features – Wall above the marquee resembles an ocean, with waves and rippling water patterned into the building
Chapel Hats has the distinction of being the only hat shop at the resort with non-Disney hats. That is, no Peter Pan/pirate/Mickey hats, but typical headgear for both men and women. If you’re in search of a hat during your stay at the Disneyland Resort, and don’t want it to be Disney-specific, this is the place to go.
This is a very small store for Downtown Disney, so it feels crowded much faster than other shops might. Even so, I’ve never had difficulty shopping here. There really is no better or worse time to shop, but keep in mind that it does open later than many other Downtown Disney shops (not until 10 AM).
Disney Springs in Orlando also has a Chapel Hats shop.
Chapel Hats replaced Little Miss Matched, a children’s sock store geared toward little girls.
