La Brea Bakery

La Brea Bakery

January 2001 – present

LOCATION

Downtown Disney – La Brea Bakery anchors the eastern corner of Downtown Disney. Head as far down the district as you can, in the direction of the park gates, and you’ll spot it. The Bakery overlooks the end water fountain, World of Disney, and the walkway toward the tram.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Service Type – table service
  • Seating – indoor dining room and outdoor covered patio
  • Reservations – yes
  • Entertainment – none
  • Menu

La Brea is a relaxed bakery that serves two meals a day: brunch and dinner. Its prime location between World of Disney and the park gates makes it the perfect place to stop between coasters and shopping! Whether you want a quick drink and dessert or a full meal, La Brea has a great selection and is an ideal spot to get off your feet.

MY RATING – ★★★★☆

I personally prefer La Brea for lunch to dinner, only because I like their sandwiches best, and prefer other Downtown Disney restaurants’ dinner menus (like Catal or the Rainforest Café). The food is good, and the location is even better. I am knocking off one star, though, because I think the menu items are a bit overpriced. Even so, if you want some fresh bakery food during your stay, La Brea is an awesome choice.

MY FAVORITES

  • Caesar with Chicken
  • Fried Chicken Sandwich
  • Grilled Three Cheese
  • Dark Chocolate Ganache Cake

TRIVIA

The interior dining room overlooks an open kitchen complete with a stone oven. You can watch as they make your food!

All of the breads featured in menu items are authentic “La Brea” breads.

For guests wanting a meal on the go, La Brea also has an Express restaurant in the same building. In La Brea Express, you can order pre-made sandwiches, salads, and pastries.

I don’t like the bakery. they’re food isn’t really that good and it overlooks a line basically. It’s not that special.

I see your point, Jennifer. The view isn’t as spectacular as other places at the resort, but you still get to watch/listen to the big fountain next door and enjoy the sunshine!
