HOW IT WORKS

Disneyland’s first official app has finally arrived! Use the app’s detailed maps to find locations of shops, restaurants, and bathrooms at the resort, check official wait times for attractions, and check the calendar for park hours and show times.

The Disneyland App works for new visitors or veteran pass holders. You can purchase park tickets directly on the app, or link your Disney account to check block out dates for your annual pass. From planning your trip to navigating the park during your stay, the Disneyland app has resources to help you make the most of your time at the resort.

MY RATING – ★★★★★

This app has been a long time coming, and as an annual pass holder, I’m thrilled to have so much so easily accessible. The official wait times are a huge asset, as many unofficial apps often estimate lines and miss the mark. And having everything posted on a map is a great way to see how the crowds are in specific areas in the park.

The app is brand new, so it still has some kinks to work out. For example, if you want to make a dining reservation, you can’t do it in the app. Instead, the app redirects you to the Disney Dining webpage. And annual pass holders can link their passes to the app, but cannot use the app at the turnstiles the way you can if you purchase a standard park ticket. There are little things that could be improved in this app, but generally speaking, it’s a wonderful resource that any Disneyland visitor can benefit from.

APP USE & TIPS

If you want to see items in a list rather than on the map, tap the icon on the bottom right of the screen to switch formats.

If you’re trying to figure out where to park, the app will also show you locations of parking structures around the resort.

They are definitely not 100% reliable, which is disappointing coming from an official app. In my experience, they are usually within 10-15 minutes of the actual time. Which is of course not perfect, but better than a lot of other wait time apps.
