The central hub of Main Street USA is the busiest spot in the park, so it’s easy to miss all of its little details. But there’s plenty to see on Main Street, including this hidden gem: the Poppins Tree!
To find the Poppins Tree, head into the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café. The line splits into a left side and a right side, so choose the right side. When you make your first turn toward the counters, look at the Dutch door on your right and you’ll see the Poppins Tree, a miniature painting adorned with lyrics and images from Mary Poppins.
This hidden gem is actually a tribute to a former piece of artwork. When the building housed the Plaza Pavilion, the wall behind the counter was covered in a massive tree mural, with each branch holding an assortment of foods from different regions of the United States and Europe.
When the Plaza Pavilion closed and became an annual pass holder center, the mural was covered up. The Jolly Holiday Bakery Café came next, and though the old mural was sadly gone, the Bakery did come with a hidden gem inspired by the original Disneyland art.
