Welcome to Ask The Duchess Vol. 38, a monthly Q&A post covering a variety of resort-related topics. Ask The Duchess answers questions submitted by readers. If you have a question you’d like answered, send me a message here!
1. Is there alcohol in California Adventure? (submitted by Ashleigh)
Yes! Both California Adventure and Downtown Disney serve alcoholic beverages to guests over 21.
2. I’m planning a birthday trip for my wife to Disneyland. I want to do one “fancy” dinner on the night of her actual birthday. I see the resort has a few nicer options. Which one is the best? (submitted by Neil)
My favorite is hands down Carthay Circle! Awesome atmosphere, amazing food, and if you tell them it’s her birthday, they’ll customize your dessert.
3. My son is all about Winnie the Pooh. Where can we meet him? (submitted by Nancy)
Pooh does regular meet and greets in Critter Country. On the day of your visit, ask a cast member in the area for his schedule!
4. What restaurants does Fantasyland have? I’m assuming my daughter is going to want to be over there for most of the day. (submitted by Georgina)
Fantasyland has three quick service dining options. Edelweiss Snacks and Troubadour Tavern both have fairly limited menus, and are more or less snack stands. But the Red Rose Taverne has a much larger menu and is an awesome place to eat – it’s Beauty and the Beast themed!
5. Do you have a list of the height requirements in California Adventure? (submitted by Maria)
Yes! See my post here.
