Welcome to Ask The Duchess – Vol. 49, a monthly Q&A post covering a variety of resort-related topics. Ask The Duchess answers questions submitted by readers. If you have a question you’d like answered, send me a message here.
1. Will Disneyland ever have a Christmas party like the Magic Kingdom does? (submitted by Chad)
I’ve never heard so much as a rumor that Disneyland is adding the party. But I suppose you never know!
2. How do I buy a ticket for Star Wars Land? (submitted by Michel)
You don’t need a separate ticket or reservation for Star Wars Land. If you have a Disneyland ticket or park hopper ticket, you can visit just like you would any other land.
3. Can I watch the fireworks from Dumbo? (submitted by Lori)
Nope. Disneyland closes the central courtyard (Snow White, Peter Pan, King Arthur Carrousel, Pinocchio, Mr. Toad, & Dumbo) for the duration of the fireworks show. Fireworks launch from the castle itself, so it’s for guest safety.
4. Where is the best place to buy spirit jerseys? (submitted by Noelle)
Honestly, they’re everywhere. You’ll find them on Main Street and Buena Vista Street in several shops, in World of Disney, and often in little shops across Frontierland, Grizzly Peak, and Hollywood Land.
5. I have dinner reservations at the Anaheim Garden Walk one night during my visit. Can I walk there from the park gates or is it too far? (submitted by Arnold)
So long as there’s no one in your party with mobility issues, it’s a totally doable walk. The street is very flat, and it’s roughly two and a half blocks from the park gates if you follow Harbor Boulevard.
