Welcome to Ask The Duchess – Vol. 83, a monthly Q&A post covering a variety of resort-related topics. Ask The Duchess answers questions submitted by readers. If you have a question you’d like answered, send me a message here.
1. Did the Runaway Railway replace Roger Rabbit? (submitted by Kerri)
Nope! They are next to each other in Toontown.
2. Is it true that the Tiki Room used to be a restaurant? (submitted by Leigh)
Not exactly. The Tiki Room has always been a standard attraction in Disneyland. However, Walt and his Imagineering team originally conceived of the idea as a restaurant with singing birds serenading diners. As development progressed it evolved into its current form, and the restaurant idea never came to fruition.
3. Taking my grandma to Disneyland for her birthday and her priority is seeing “original” stuff that has been there since the 50s. Do you have a list of what those are? (submitted by Julie)
Yes – check out my previous post here.
4. What’s your go-to Disneyland breakfast? (submitted by Gloria)
I usually don’t eat breakfast on property, but when I do – the breakfast ronto wrap. It’s SO good.
5. Am I allowed to bring my medication into the park? (submitted by Lia)
Yes, unless it is in a glass container or if you have a medical prescription for marijuana (it’s not allowed even in that instance). If your meds are in glassware, swap it out for a plastic container and you’ll be fine to bring them in.
