MY REVIEW

Overall, I think this book has an interesting topic โ€“ many history books about the parks focus a lot more on broader park development or โ€œbig momentsโ€ than specific ride details โ€“ so I think itโ€™s a unique approach to the topic.

However, there are a few things I think this book could have improved on. First, I think it had a tendency to lean a little bit too far into โ€œencyclopediaโ€ territory, outlining a lot of operational facts over than talking about the stories behind each ride and talking about its more holistic story. And second, I think this book really needed an editor in certain places. There were sections with words missing/incomplete phrases and it make reading a little bit clunky.

But all that considered, if youโ€™re a Disney fan that loves details and has interest in how rides come to life, I think you will enjoy a lot of the information this book has to offer.
