The Magic Key is the Disneyland Resort’s tasting room for Disney Family wines. These are wines produced by wineries belonging to the “Disney Family”, a.k.a. legends or frequent stars like John Lasseter or Kurt Russell. Visitors to the Terrace choose from a selection of wines, appetizers, or non-alcoholic beverages. The elevated patio has stunning views of the park, and its semi-private location provides a peaceful place to sit back and unwind.
Note: Someone in your party (up to 6 people) must have a Magic Key to enjoy the terrace.
MY RATING – ★★★★☆
I love the Terrace for two reasons: its unique view of the park and its selection of appetizers. The patio’s elevated location offers unobstructed views of two different lands. I dock a star because they only serve Disney family wines, which is a little limiting and pricey. Even so, this patio is a hidden spot that makes for a unique California Adventure experience. If you want to taste a Disney Family wine during your trip, there’s no better spot than the Magic Key Terrace.

TRIVIA
Alfresco is part of the “Golden Vine Winery” with the tasting rooms, the Trattoria, and the now closed Sky Cellar.
The Terrace was formerly called the Alfresco Lounge.
Unlike most restaurants in California Adventure, this spot doesn’t open until 2 pm.
In any case, Alfresco Lounge is now hardly a secret, and it s much more popular. Part of the Golden Vine Winery in Pacific Wharf (which makes no sense, but whatever), Golden Vine Winery also contains a craft beer counter, Wine Country Trattoria ( which we recently reviewed ), and Blue Sky Cellar (which hasn t been open for a couple of years, but hopefully will return with Star Wars Land on the horizon).
great! love it
