June 2012 – present
LOCATION
Buena Vista Street – When you reach the open plaza at the end of the street, keep to the right. You’ll see the Café straight ahead, next to the candy shop and Clarabelle’s Ice Cream.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – quick service
- Seating – interior dining room, limited outdoor seating
- Reservations – no
- Entertainment – periodic live entertainment on the plaza
- Menu
Like the Market House on Main Street USA, Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Café is a disguised Starbucks. Guests can choose from a selection of pastries, coffees, drinks, sandwiches, and salads. The Café shares a dining room with Clarabelle’s Ice Cream, or guests can sit on the adjacent outdoor patio and overlook Buena Vista Street’s fountain. As the largest restaurant on Buena Vista Street, the Café is always hopping, and this quick service spot is the perfect place to grab a snack or a drink as you explore California Adventure.
MY RATING – ★★★☆☆
I’m not a coffee drinker, but I still like to stop by the Café for a snack when I’m on Buena Vista Street. The café is in a great spot to catch the entertainment, watch the trolleys pass by, or people watch, and the restaurant has a decent sized menu. The interior dining room is a bit dark, and this café is almost always busy, but it’s definitely one of the better quick service restaurants on the front end of California Adventure.
MY FAVORITES
- Roast Turkey and Swiss Sandwich
- Classic Coffee Cake
- Signature Cinnamon Roll
- Iced Tea Lemonade
- Hot Chocolate
TRIVIA
The shop’s name comes from Disney’s 1933 Silly Symphony cartoon “Three Little Pigs”. In this retelling of the fairy tale, the pigs are named Fiddler Pig, Fifer Pig, and Practical Pig.
Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Café is a Starbucks, so guests can pay for their purchase with a Starbucks gift card.
