Mickey’s Toontown – Right as you walk under the bridge and reach the end of the entrance path in Mickey’s Toontown, look to your left, and you’ll find the play yard, just across the walkway from Good Boy! Grocers.
BACKGROUND
Since its inception, Toontown has always been a land dedicated to play, especially for little ones. The original version of this attraction was Goofy’s Playhouse, which focused more on the interior of his home. But when Toontown went through a big transformation/refurbishment project in 2022-2023, Goofy’s home expanded to offer more interactive elements, especially in the surrounding yard. To mark this shift, the attraction became Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard in March 2023.

Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard includes two main areas to explore: the outdoor courtyard/patio, and the interior of the house. Outside, the courtyard includes brightly colored play structures, squishy floor panels, mazes, and a fort. And inside, the fun continues with a bustling kitchen, a toon piano, and an assortment of Goofy’s own inventions.
MY RATING: ★★★★☆
This version of Goofy’s home is definitely an upgrade. There’s a lot more to do for the little ones, and more areas for grownups to either join in on the fun or comfortably supervise. The attraction emphasizes physical exploration, so it’s a great place for little ones to get their energy out between attraction lines.
TRIVIA
During seasonal celebrations, Goofy decorates his yard! For Halloween, expect carved pumpkins, and for Christmas, look out for a festive tree decorating the balcony.
Goofy’s yard and house were designed to encourage multi-sensory exploration.
