Galaxy’s Edge is Disneyland’s best known destination for a trip through a galaxy far, far away. But for decades now, park visitors have been boarding flights to many different planets, thanks to Star Tours. Let’s head over to Tomorrowland – seems like a good day for flying.
Our trip begins like any other visit to an airport (once you’re past security, of course, but that’s taken care of upon park entrance). We can see current status of arrivals and departures, while watching R2D2 work on a ship.
Next we encounter C3PO, busy as usual and anxiously greeting guests while trying to keep an eye on R2’s work.
Now we wind through baggage claim and customs. Let’s hope all of these bags make it to their destination…and that there are no customs issues for these droids.
Next is what I’d call “security light”. Here, a droid does a body scan of visitors as one final check before allowing us into the gate area.
And we’ve made it to the gate! All that’s left to do is hop onto our flight. Next stop: a galaxy far, far away.
