LOCATION
Adventureland – Tropical Imports sits right on the busiest part of the land’s main walkway, so with so much traffic, it can be easy to miss. When you head into Adventureland from Main Street USA, keep to the left of the path. Tropical Imports will be on the left side, just before the entrance to the Jungle Cruise.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – quick service
- Seating – none
- Reservations – no
- Entertainment – none
- Menu
Tropical Imports is Adventureland’s snack hub, operating like a trading post set deep in the jungle. Guests can choose from a variety of on-the-go drinks and treats, including fruit, veggie cups, and juices.
MY RATING – ★★☆☆☆
Like Fillmore’s Taste-In, Tropical Imports is basically an oversized snack bar, not a service restaurant. If you’re on the west side of the park and in search of a healthier snack option, this is a good place to stop. But if you want a meal (or want to indulge), I’d skip this quick-service spot.
MY FAVORITES
- Veggie Cup with Ranch
TRIVIA
Tropical Imports shares a building with the Jungle Cruise; you can see the line winding towards the docks from the back of the fruit stand.
In 2008, Adventureland hosted a special event called “The Summer of Hidden Mysteries”. Indiana Jones would periodically perform stunts throughout the land, and used the roof of Tropical Imports as a stage.
Pay close attention to the décor in this tropical hut; you’ll see several references to Indy (typically billed as Prof. Henry Jones).
This place is cool, looks like it’s part of the Jungle Cruise but it isn’t. Love it!
