Main Street USA is so easy to picture. Close your eyes, and you can see it: a train station, a castle, and a long, straight street in between. But this land is anything but simple and basic. The storefronts, alleyway, and open plazas on either end add depth to the street, so you don’t feel like the world of Main Street just ends on the other side of the stores. It is hard, though, to see Main Street outside of the familiar views. I feel like all of my pictures of the street are either facing the castle, facing a storefront, or facing the train station. But if you spend a little extra time wandering around the street, you’ll definitely find something you’ve never seen before.
Here are a few of my favorite shots of Main Street, all taken from new perspectives or hidden little spots.
