EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – table service
- Seating – yes
- Reservations – yes, up to 60 days in advance
- Entertainment – character meet & greets
- Menu
Diners at Goofy’s Kitchen have two different buffet options: breakfast in the morning, or dinner in the evening. Both buffets offer huge selections with basically every kind of comfort food available at the resort. Between refills, Goofy and his friends visit each table, offering personal meet & greet opportunities for visitors of all ages.
MY RATING: ★★★★☆
Goofy’s Kitchen is the #1 character dining option to visit with the “original 5” specifically: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. I removed a star because the buffet is a pretty expensive dining option compared to most other table service restaurants at the resort. But with this destination, you’re basically paying for access to characters. If your group wants to meet Mickey or experience a buffet during your visit to the happiest place on earth, I’d highly recommend Goofy’s Kitchen.
MY FAVORITES
- Buffet selections change pretty frequently
TRIVIA
In the 1950s, the Disneyland Hotel looked completely different than it does today. The space housing Goofy’s Kitchen now was once home to a helicopter landing space! (You can see pictures here).
If you’re staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you may have access to additional reservation times at Goofy’s Kitchen.
Goofy’s Kitchen also works as a roundabout way to visiting Mickey, Minnie, and the gang. If you don’t want to buy a ticket to Disneyland, you can still make a reservation and visit Mickey without hopping into the parks (you don’t need a ticket to get into Downtown Disney or the hotels).
