Downtown Disney – You’ll find Salt & Straw in the center section of Downtown Disney, near Naples. To find the restaurant, head toward the side of Downtown Disney closest to the parks. You’ll see it in the last block of shops on the north side, across the walkway from Marceline’s and the Disney Dress Shop.

Salt & Straw is the Disneyland Resort’s fanciest ice cream shop. Forget traditional flavors like chocolate or mint. Instead, you’ll find more elaborate flavors like sea salt with caramel or honey lavender. All the flavors are thick & creamy, and many have a story behind the ingredients’ origins. If you’re looking to try a unique dessert experience during your trip, you’ll find plenty of choices at Salt & Straw.

I’ve been very impressed with every flavor I’ve tried at Salt & Straw. The ice creams are distinct…I mean, where else can you get an ice cream with balsamic in it that actually tastes GOOD? I can totally understand why this wouldn’t appeal to everyone; sometimes you just want a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. But if you’re looking to try something a little creative and different, definitely give this place a try.

TRIVIA
Though Salt & Straw is a chain, this location sells the rare flavor “Pots of Gold & Rainbows” (basically Lucky Charms ice cream) all year long, whereas the other locations only offer it in the spring.
Inside the shop, you’ll find a totem pole made from stacked ice cream cones.
