- Unique Features – frequent artist meet & greets or signings
WonderGround Gallery is the Disneyland Resort’s most famous art shop. The Gallery features all kinds of unique Disney prints, paintings, and collectible items. If you want to talk with the artist who created your favorite print, the Gallery offers regular artist visits. And when an artist isn’t in the Gallery, you’ll often find an illustrator working on some Disney sketches at the easel. Even if you’re not super interested in art prints or unusual takes on Disney characters, you should still visit the Gallery at least once. Some of the paintings are absolutely amazing, and I always enjoy watching the illustrators sketch.
SHOPPING TIPS
Depending on what time artists visit the gallery, shopping here can be a breeze or a nightmare. If you want to avoid the crowds, check what artists are scheduled to visit, and plan your shopping around those times. But if there is a specific artist you want to see, get to the shop an hour before the event starts if you can.
TRIVIA
Each month, the Gallery hosts a resident artist to design a new collection of prints and artwork.
Before Wonderground Gallery, this space housed “Island Charters”, a shop selling Hawaiian shirts, tiki mugs, and pirate home décor.
