February 2001 – May 2016
LOCATION
Downtown Disney – The House of Blues expanded into the central courtyard of Downtown Disney, across from Tortilla Jo’s. Today, this space is home to Splitsville Luxury Lanes.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – table service
- Seating – indoor dining room, adjacent outdoor patio
- Entertainment – live music
If you were looking to enjoy some live music during your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, the House of Blues was the place to be. Crossroads, the restaurant within the venue, served a huge selection of drinks, flat breads, and other appetizers. The restaurant stayed open even without a show playing, but the real draw was always the entertainment.
CLOSURE
In 2016, Disneyland announced the House of Blues would close to make room for Splitsville, a new bowling alley with dining space. House of Blues moved down the street to the Anaheim Garden Walk, which gave the facility the opportunity to expand its square footage.
TRIVIA
In Downtown Disney, House of Blues sat 1,000. At its current location in the Garden Walk, the venue can seat more than 2,000.
During its run, the House of Blues hosted tons of famous musicians, including James Brown, Ray Charles, the Foo Fighters, BB King, Etta James.
