LOCATION

Disneyland Hotel – The Lost Bar sat by the Neverland Pool on the hotel grounds. Today, the pool area has been completely reconfigured, but the bar stood very roughly where the building housing Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace stands today.

EXPERIENCE

Visitors to the Disneyland Hotel in the 2000s flocked to The Lost Bar for poolside drinks and snacks. Despite its central location on the grounds, its somewhat off-to-the-side spot in the busier area made it a little more relaxed than the nearby bustling pool. The open-air concept let the breeze in, making it the perfect spot to cool off on a hot California afternoon.

CLOSURE

In 2010, Disneyland announced plans to redesign the hotel’s pool area and grounds. The Lost Bar, alongside the nearby pool and a few other dining spots, closed just as construction walls went up. In 2011, the Peter Pan theming in the area was completely gone, replaced by a tiki-themed bar and an E-ticket themed pool featuring a monorail slide.

TRIVIA

As you may have guessed, this bar’s name comes from the lost boys in Peter Pan.

Next to the Lost Bar, visitors could race remote controlled mini boats, reminiscent of the original boats and marina at the hotel during its early years.
