Happy dia de los muertos! I hope your spooky season was filled with fun and lots of candy. Now that we’re into November, the Disneyland Resort is switching over to its holiday decor. But October wrapped up the Halloween festivities with some new offerings, attraction previews, and a beautiful new lounge at the Disneyland Hotel. Let’s recap.

CAST MEMBER AND MAGIC KEY PREVIEWS UNDERWAY FOR TIANA’S BAYOU ADVENTURE

We’re creeping closer and closer to the official opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and this month, cast members and Magic Key holders could register for attraction previews.

As a result, many of the walls around the attraction have come down, and we are starting to see the details on the exterior and in the queue sections around the building. Much of it looks quite similar to Splash Mountain, with some extra magic touches.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially opens November 15.

AGATHA HARKNESS DESCENDS UPON DISNEYLAND

To celebrateย Agatha All Along on Disney+ and the Halloween Season at the resort, Kathryn Hahn (a.k.a. Agatha Harkness) dropped into Disneyland for a visit. She received an extra special surprise: her own pair of special Agatha ears!

The Agatha ears sold out SO quickly at all merchandise locations, and I didn’t see any restocked when I visited Oct 24-26. But hopefully they’ll be back soon; I think the design is so cool.

A NEW KIND OF LIGHTNING LANE

As of this month, the Disneyland Resort is now offering another level of Lightning Lane, beyond single pass and multi-pass: Premier Pass.

For $300-$400 per person, per day (prices fluctuate), guests can add on this pass on top of their park ticket. You can then access one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction, without having to pre-select a window or wait 2 hours between selections. This access includes the single pass only attractions: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers.

You can purchase a Premier Pass up to 2 days ahead of your visit, subject to availability. For more information about this new offering, check out the official page here.

OTHER UPDATES

As of October 21, the Disneyland Hotel‘s lobby lounge is now officially open. The Broken Spell Lounge is set in the forest of Sleeping Beauty, and serves cocktails and bar bites daily starting at 4 pm.

This month, we got confirmation that Bayou Country (the new name of Critter Country) takes effect on November 15, and all shops/attractions will be officially open on that date too. In terms of new locations, Ray’s Berets and Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree are already open, and then Louis’ Critter Club and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are now just two weeks away.

And finally, I was fortunate enough to attend Oogie Boogie Bash this October! I didn’t do a full recap post because to be honest, I didn’t take a ton of pictures. The attraction lines were truly the shortest I have ever seen them during the Bash (we stayed on the Silly Swings for round 2 without getting off and waited less than 10 minutes for Incredicoaster three times), so we were more focused on racing from ride to ride than documenting the event. But I did want to share our group’s costumes – we went with “underrated villains”.

Happy Halloween! Love Clayton (Tarzan), Mother Gothel (Tangled), Prince John (Robin Hood), and Hades (Hercules).
