In February every year, the Disneyland Resort double dips on festivals and hosts two celebrations at the same time. The Lunar New Year party runs on another few weeks, and for two weekends in February, both parks will host Celebrate Gospel 2025!

This tradition, celebrating Black History Month, showcases the rich heritage of Gospel music on two different Saturdays – this year February 8 and 15. In years past, this event has been limited to one park – but this year both are getting in on the fun.
The Disneyland Lineup (performer descriptions from the official event page):
- DOE at the Fantasyland Theater (February 8) – Between the purity of her vocals, intuitive lyrics and soul-captivating sound, the 6-time GRAMMY®-nominated, 2-time Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter-musician takes you on new era of gospel music that transcends traditional perceptions.
- Melvin Crispell, III at the Fantasyland Theater (February 15) – With 4 GRAMMY®-Award nominations, 6 Stellar Award nominations and 4 Dove Award nominations, Melvin’s Gospel artistry will stir you with his message of hope.
- Tiana meet and greets in New Orleans Square
- Ariel (live action) meet and greets in Fantasyland
The California Adventure Lineup:
- The art of Disney Legend Floyd Norman (Walt Disney Animation Studios’ first black animator) – on display in Hollywood Land
- Black Panther and Dora Milaje meet and greets in Avengers Campus
- Five & Dime performances on Buena Vista Street
The Downtown Disney Lineup:
- Ballast Point Brewing Co – throughout the month, this restaurant will support the 8 Trillion organization—supporting racial equity and Black-owned brewing companies.
- Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio – Every Saturday evening in February, diners will be treated to Black History Month live performances.
- Lovepop – 50% of every purchase of the limited edition “Black is Beautiful Pop-Up Card” will be donated to The Conscious Kid—the education, research and policy organization dedicated to equity and promoting healthy racial identity development in youth.
- Sip & Sonder – try the specialty “Nod to Nicaud” cold brew, which pays homage to the incredible legacy of Rose Nicaud, a trailblazing entrepreneur who became one of the first women of color vendors in the city of New Orleans, selling French coffee to patrons along the river near St. Louis Cathedral.
The Resort Hotel Lineup:
- Broken Spell Lounge – Hear Celebrate Soulfully artists on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and jazz duos on Mondays through Thursdays.
- Disneyland Hotel lobby – Listen to Sequin Dream—an a capella group performing Fridays and Saturdays.
- Pixar Place lobby – During the afternoons and evenings, look for Joe Gardner from Soul playing smooth jazz tunes at the piano.
You don’t need a special ticket to participate in Celebrate Gospel; anyone with a Disneyland ticket on either day is welcome to experience the live entertainment throughout the resort.
