A fan favorite event is returning to the Disneyland Resort! Starting January 31, two Disneyland After Dark parties will take over the Disneyland Resort after sundown on select nights. These separately ticketed parties come with special offerings, character meet and greets, unique photo ops, and more.

Sweethearts’ Nite (January 31, February 2, 5, 7, 9, 14, 16)
This one-of-a-kind date night is meant to celebrate love (whether romantic, or love between family and friends). The event will include a special fireworks show, along with photo ops, merchandise, and event-specific food and drinks around the park. In addition, here are the entertainment offerings for the parties:
- Royal Ball – a dance party hosted by Aladdin and Jasmine in front of It’s A Small World
- River Cruise – a nighttime ride on the Mark Twain Riverboat with a jazz ensemble aboard
- Tropical Hideaway – relax under the stars with island music performed by a Polynesian trio

Princess Nite (March 7, 9)
New this year, princess nite celebrates Disney’s heroines from every animation era. Like the other themed parties, Princess Nite will have a unique fireworks show, special photo ops, and event-specific merchandise and food/drink offerings. In addition, here are the other activities guests can partake in:
- Royal Welcome – enter the park in style with Minnie and Daisy greeting you accompanied by trumpeters
- Royal Concert – the vague teaser for this offering says it will be a “musical concert celebrating heartwarming, adventurous heroines including Moana, Merida, and more accompanied by live vocalists”
- Dance Party – visit Tomorrowland to join the official dance party, hosted by Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck It Ralph
- Jazz Concert – Stop by New Orleans Square for live jazz performances

In years past, additional parties have popped up throughout the winter/spring based on demand. I wouldn’t be surprised if additional events join the lineup, and I’ll add them to this post if they do.
