I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: cast members make the magic at the Disneyland Resort. They really do go above and beyond to give visitors the best experience possible, and sometimes even create “magic moments”. These magic moments come in all forms: special fast passes, awesome tables in busy restaurants, or even a peek at some behind-the-scenes action.
I recently visited the Disneyland Resort with my family, and we experienced an unbelievable magic moment…an upgrade to a suite in the Grand Californian! (Pro tip: a guest services rep said you’re most likely to be upgraded if you’re only staying at the hotel for one night, since they like to fill in odd gaps in the suites). We stayed in the Arcadia Suite on the 6th floor.
Ever wondered what a glamorous Disney suite looks like? Let me show you around.
This is the kitchen. Since we only stayed for one night, we didn’t use it, but we did see the drawers were fully stocked with silverware and coffee.
Here’s the fancy dining room, with a big bay window overlooking the Grand Californian’s pools. We cancelled our dining reservation and ordered room service so we could enjoy the stunning view!
As you walk through the grand entryway (which I sadly didn’t get a picture of for some reason), you arrive in the master bedroom. The bedroom had a huge ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a sliding glass door leading out to a small patio.
And finally, my favorite room in the suite. This living room has a huge brick fireplace, surround sound speakers, and floor-to-ceiling windows with the best view ever. We watched World of Color from our room (though we could only see the top half of the projections, but still amazing!).
The kind cast member who upgraded us truly gave us a magical night at the hotel. Have you ever experienced a magic moment? Share your stories in the comments!
I got engaged at Epcot on the little dock by the Italy pavilion. A cast member saw and brought us free champaigne!
That’s awesome!
Jess, your suite looks wonderful. I’m sure you all had a great time. Miss you all!!
Thank you Gramma!
