Note: this post covers Disneyland’s refurbishment “season”, from January-March. For current scheduled closures, please visit here.
If you’ve been reading the blog for a while now, you know that late winter is Disneyland’s “refurbishment season”. While attractions close for maintenance and upgrades throughout the year, the park stacks many refurbishments into January-March, to take advantage of the quieter period between the holidays and spring break.
Disneyland constantly changes, adds, and removes plans for attraction refurbishments, so this list will change frequently over the next few months. Disneyland rarely announces re-opening dates for longer refurbishments until shortly before the work is completed, so for now, you’ll see those dates marked as TBA (to be announced). Don’t be discouraged by the list of refurbishments – this quiet period is one of my favorite times of year to visit the resort! Sure, some rides will be closed. But you’ll also experience shorter lines, magically foggy mornings, and less crowd congestion in the background of your photos.
