I’m back again with another round of snapshots! Thanks so much to those who keep reaching out to share how much you enjoy this series. I love it too – it’s really fun to dig through my library and rediscover photos I haven’t used in blog posts. Let’s see what I found this go around.
This photo is your view right as you round the corner into Adventureland‘s main drag. It’s amazing how such a dense jungle seemingly comes out of nowhere; none of this is noticeable from Main Street. The tower on the left is the upstairs of the Jungle Cruise boathouse.
I absolutely love the Junkyard Jamboree. it’s such a goofy ride but it’s genuinely fun. While it’s not necessarily the most scenic area within Cars Land, I thought the cloud pattern in this photo added a little something.
A strange little corner of Galaxy’s Edge. This photo reminded me of how hilly the landscape is here, which is easy forget when you see so many photos of the flat pedestrian walkways.
Some mist at the base of Grizzly River Run. In the upper left corner of the photo, you can see a walkway. This loops from the ride’s entrance all the way around to the Paradise Gardens Park connection point. I highly recommend taking this back path; you’ll get up close to the waterfalls.
This is a perfect example of a right place, right time photo. I was standing on Main Street scrolling through the Disneyland app to see wait times, and happened to look up right as the horse approached.
I have way too many photos of the spectacular Frontierland rock formations. Pro tip if you also love this scenery; ride the Mark Twain on a different level each time. The vantage points are remarkably different!
Can never have enough rides on the Mark Twain… and I agree, the view from different levels (and both sides) of the boat make for a nice variety of photo angles. One year when a friend of a friend took me to the park (our mutual friend was working) and I hadn’t been back for a couple of years, my friend told the captain at the helm of the MT that I was a first-time visitor to the park and could I have a go on the steering wheel! (I hadn’t realised he was going to do this and would have protested that I didn’t deserve such an honour, because of course I had done both plenty of times since my first visit in 1975!) But the skipper was so nice, and I got to blow the whistle as we approached the landing, and I’ve never forgotten the voyage from the perspective of the wheelhouse!
The wheelhouse is still on my to-do list! The few times I’ve asked to go up, someone else was already up there. You’re so lucky!
