Can you believe it’s almost summer already?! And at the Disneyland Resort, that means it’s time for the Summer of Heroes, a California Adventure celebration of all things Marvel.
To officially kick off the summer of Heroes, and debut of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, California Adventure will host an after-hours party of epic proportions.
On May 26, guests with event tickets have access to a private “Galactic Premiere Party”, with elements of Mickey’s Halloween Party, Comic-Con, and a vibe similar to the old 24-Hour Summer Kickoffs. The celebration will include:
- Character meet & greets with the Avengers
- Exclusive access to the new Mission: BREAKOUT! before it opens to the public
- An Imagineer panel about the development of the new attraction
- Comic book illustration lessons, where you can learn to draw your favorite superhero
- Special PhotoPass stations just for the event
- A huge dance party!
Tickets cost $150, and include access to the party, unlimited rides on Mission: BREAKOUT!, a $15 food and beverage voucher, and a “decoder card” to help you find and collect souvenirs.
One more special perk to the party – costumes are encouraged, even for adults! Like the Halloween party, these come with some restrictions. No fake weapons, no costumes dragging on the ground, no masks covering the entire face, etc.

It’ll be cool to have more Marvel in the park. Can’t wait for the Summer of Heroes!
Looks kinda fun, but not that different from the actual Summer of Heroes. I’d rather wait one day then pay all the extra $$$
