Welcome to Ask The Duchess Vol. 30, a monthly Q&A post covering a variety of resort-related topics. Ask The Duchess answers questions submitted by readers. If you have a question you’d like answered, send me a message here!

1. If I am at Radiator Springs Racers, what is the best way to get to Soarin’ Around the World? (submitted by Ashleigh)

The most direct route is as follows: head back down Cars Land’s main street, turn right at the end, and turn left at Buena Vista Street’s Carthay Circle (the open courtyard with the fountain). Soarin’ will be on your right once you cross into Grizzly Peak.

2. Do you think you walk a lot more in Disneyland than in Disney World, since you don’t have the same monorail system? (submitted by Michael)

Since I’m not very familiar with Disney World, I can’t directly compare. But I’m sure both places demand quite a bit of walking. For reference, I tend to average about 10 miles per day of walking in Disneyland. If you ask me, that’s a lot!

3. Is it true people have died at Disneyland? (submitted by Conner)

Not technically. Officially, no one is declared deceased until they are off Disney property. But you can read my post about deaths at the resort here.

4. My son is absolutely nuts for the Evil Queen from Snow White. He has met her and LOVES the Snow White ride. Is there anything else Evil Queen-related we may have missed? (submitted by Anne)

There’s a hidden Evil Queen in the window above the Snow White ride. Otherwise, just be sure to check her out in the parade during Mickey’s Halloween Party!

5. How has Disneyland changed since you were a kid? Do you still feel the same way about it? (submitted by Melissa)

I didn’t grow up going to Disneyland, so I don’t have childhood memories to compare it to. I did visit Disney World once as a kid (I’m from MA, so it was my closer park!), but I unfortunately don’t remember it well.
