For many of us frequent park-goers, we develop a bit of a “Disney wardrobe” over time; clothing and accessories we often acquire during trips that we wear in and out of the parks. But if you’re like me, a lot of the official parks merchandise can get a bit old pretty quick. It’s often the same designs over and over, focused on the same few franchises!

That’s why I’ve been increasingly turning to Disney inspired brands for park gear, and I thought I would share a few of my favorite stores. In this post, they are split into two categories: Licensed brands (who work directly with Disney on official merchandise) and independent artists (who create Disney-inspired products with unique designs).

LICENSED BRANDS

Loungefly

You’ve undoubtedly seen Loungefly in the parks. This is basically the go-to brand for Disney backpacks, but they have a lot of other accessories too: handbags, wallets, coin purses…the designs are fantastic and I always have something from them in an online cart to “save for later”.

Cakeworthy

If you’re looking for something you can describe as “cute” or “fun”, Cakeworthy is a great option. They do a great job of hitting many, many different characters/franchises, and have a huge range of apparel for whatever you’re hoping to wear. Plus, their pajamas are SO soft.

Disney Inspired Brands

Her Universe

Self described as “geek couture”, Her Universe is the best place to get genuinely stylish Disney clothing, bags, jewelry, wallets, sunglasses, etc. – not just your standard tee shirt or sweatshirt. A lot of their designs lean a little retro too, which I absolutely love.

INDEPENDENT ARTISTS

Make It Minnie

This store creates some absolutely gorgeous, somewhat minimalistic jewelry. Their collections are subtle enough that you may not even realize it’s Disney inspired until you look up close. And as an added bonus – all the pieces are made with sterling silver and are hypoallergenic.

Crowned Athletics

Whether you participate in runDisney events or just like comfortable athleisure for park trips, this store has something for you. Their princess-themed collections are great for dressing up while adhering to adult costume rules and staying totally comfortable throughout the day.

The Lost Bros

This Florida-based brand mixes theme parks with streetwear. A lot of their designs are Disney World specific (like World Showcase designs), but most would work just fine for Disneyland trips! Plus, they have some cocktail-themed merch that is perfect for a Trader Sam’s round or two.

I am sure there are many, many more stores out there than those on this list – so please feel free to send me your favorites!
