Big Top Toys

June 2012 – present

LOCATION

Buena Vista Street – Big Top Toys hides in plain sight on Buena Vista Street, with its entrance peering out from beneath the bridge. Walk toward the circle, keeping to the left side of the street, and you’ll see the red marquee right under the monorail bridge.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Merchandise –Toys, stuffed animals, and games
  • Price Range –Most items under $30
  • Unique Features –Ceiling designed to look like you’re inside a circus tent, circus mural behind the cash registers

If you’re in the market for a stuffed animal souvenir, Big Top Toys is the best place to go. This adorable shop has a massive selection of toys, including harder to find characters (I got my Mrs. Jumbo here!). You’ll also find a few accessories here, like hats, keychains, or shirts. The merchandise changes out regularly, so you’ll always find something new under the circus tent.

SHOPPING TIPS

Generally speaking, I’d recommend shopping in this store on your way out of the park. Typically, there are plenty of each toy or accessory available, so it’s not like you have to grab one before someone else takes it. And that way, you don’t have to lug your bulky stuffed animal around for the rest of your time inside the gates.

But for shoppers who want to stock up on toys but don’t want to carry them around all day, this shop has the added bonus of being across the street from California Adventure’s lockers!

TRIVIA

The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World also has a Big Top gift shop, but that one is actually inside a giant circus tent.

Big Top Toys gets its theme from Dumbo, and it’s tagline is “the biggest little toy shop in the world”.
