Hollywood Land visitors know the backlot is no ordinary backlot…it’s also a portal to Monstropolis. If you care for a visit to the hometown of Monsters, Inc., you’ll need to visit the Monstropolis Transit Authority. Let’s go see what Mike and Sulley are up to today.
Once we arrive inside the MTA, we’ll need to pass by the ticket window. We’ll be taking a cab into town, so no need for a bus pass or train ticket.
On our way to taxi dispatch, we’ll see some adds for local Monstropolis products. The CDA (Child Detection Agency) also shows periodic reminders to keep an eye out for those toxic human children!
Finally, one last chance to fuel up before our cab ride. You’ll see some monster favorites in the vending machines…I think I want sugar, salt, & fat in a bag.

This ride has always been one of the easiest to get on at short notice whenever I’ve been in the park. It’s also very kid friendly – and great fun.
