If you’ve ever seen a Marvel movie, read a Marvel comic, or watched a Marvel tv show, you’ve seen the work of Stan Lee. A writer, editor, publisher, and producer, Lee was the primary creative director of Marvel Comics for more than 20 years, co-creating some of the most famous superheroes in the world.
It seems fitting for a man at the heart of Marvel to be honored somewhere in Marvel’s first dedicated theme park land.
Head to the main entrance of Avengers Campus, where the arc reactor glows in the center of the walkway. Along the wall, you’ll see a special plaque with a gold border.
The plaque reads:
We dedicate Avengers Campus to the incomparable – STAN LEE – “That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt a real superhero” – Thank you, Stan, for inspiring the hero within each of us. You have made us all True Believers.
