The marketplace is always buzzing in Galaxy’s Edge. In between shopping, ronto wraps, and droid building, visitors can’t help getting thirsty as they wander. Thankfully, there’s a massive water fountain located next to the open courtyard.

But wait…there’s something a little strange about this fountain. When you push the button, it’s not just the water you’re disturbing.

What was that?! You just saw a dianoga, a squid-like creature from the planet Vodran in the outer rim. Be careful – some dianogas are force sensitive!

If you’re brave enough to drink the water the dianoga was swimming in, you’re a brave traveler. But the good news is, the dianoga doesn’t seem to have any interest in escaping; it just pops up every so often to see who’s draining its water supply.

  1. This is one of my favorite details at Galaxy’s Edge! I remember just standing there waiting for it for awhile the first time I visited!

    • Hahah! I first noticed it because I kept thinking “why the hell is everyone taking video of a water fountain…something must be up”. It’s such a great detail.
