Docking Bay 7

May 2019 – present

LOCATION

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Docking Bay 7 faces the Millennium Falcon, in the northeastern corner of Batuu. To find the restaurant, head toward the Falcon from any direction – almost every path leads to it. Once you’re in the open Falcon plaza, turn to the left. Docking Bay 7 is the round building with the ship on the roof, just at the top of the stairs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Reservations – no
  • Entertainment – none
  • Menu

If your space travels leave you hungry and in search of a good meal, Docking Bay 7 just so happens to be centrally located and ready to feed you. This large quick service location offers salads, meat dishes, and special drinks, with a dining room built directly into a hangar bay. An added bonus – the restaurant’s location perched above the Falcon makes it a fantastic spot for snapping photos!

MY RATING: ★★★★☆

I really enjoy the atmosphere at Docking Bay 7. The Food is pretty decent for Disneyland quick service, but the portions are a little smaller than other quick service locations, so just keep that in mind. I docked one star primarily because if this spot is going to serve breakfast, they need a much better menu. It’s super inconsistent and a little unpredictable, since the offerings change frequently.

MY FAVORITES

  • Fried Endorian Tip-Yip
  • Black Spire Hot Chocolate
  • Batuu-bon

TRIVIA

Docking Bay 7 was the epicenter of the spork drama you may have seen on social media last year. The restaurant used to provide free uniquely designed sporks with every meal, until guests started stealing them like crazy and re-selling them online. The sporks went away altogether, before returning – now with a $10 charge, unless you’d like to use a normal earthly fork.

The menu items at this restaurant used to have strictly Batuu-esque names, which confused a lot of visitors. To remedy the confusion, Disney walked back the immersion a little bit, adding more descriptive and familiar names to dishes to help clarify the offerings.
