Everyone knows the place to find Jack O Lanterns at Disneyland is Main Street during Halloween; they line the windows of shops, adorn balconies, and sometimes sit on restaurant tabletops. But one special pumpkin hides in Disneyland all year long, in a place you probably wouldn’t expect.
Swing by Goofy’s Playhouse during any season, and head into his back yard. Along the wall, you’ll see a pumpkin patch with one that looks different from the rest.

Jack Lindquist was one of the most beloved Disneyland executives, who’s roles spanned marketing, attractions, entertainment, and finally, president of Disneyland. Jack has also been credited with leading tons of projects, from Grad Nites to the development of a second park in Anaheim. He worked for Disney from the 60s to 1993, and was honored with a window on Main Street, the highest honor for Disneyland execs. Jack passed away in 2016, but you can still see his smiling face in the park.
Duchess,
I’m so excited that today I found your blog!! I’m a huge DL fan. I’ve been going at least once a year to DL for 50 years! I had no idea about all the great things around the park! Thank you! Thank you!
Your fan Terra
Thank you so much Terra! That means the world to me 🙂
One of those interesting little details I’ll look for next time I’m at the park. Visits are pretty seldom these days though as my kids are grown and I live in Pittsburgh. But your blog keeps me in touch!
Thanks, John! Always glad to see your comments 🙂
