My favorite roller coaster in Disneyland is Space Mountain, without a doubt. I love whirling around in the dark, feeling like you’re going faster and faster as the turns get tighter. But before boarding a rocket ship, Space Mountain riders go through a large and winding queue, with some interesting views along the way. Let’s take a walk toward the launch pad, shall we?

Our tour begins in the open air atrium. We walk down a long hallway, before gradually winding our way up to the second floor, passing some trees along the way.

Now we reach my favorite part of the queue. We’re at the top of the mountain, coming back outside to get a 180 view of our destination.

Heading back inside now, we start our journey of twisting and turning hallways inside the hangar.

You’ll see the number 77 scattered throughout the hallways. This is a reference to 1977, the year Space Mountain opened in Disneyland.

After winding our way through the halls, we’ve made it to the boarding area. Ready for takeoff? Let’s go!

  1. it look so cool… and the one in Disneyland Paris with its Jules Verne look even more so… but I could only bring myself to ride it once (not being a fan of roller-coasters!) Scared the heck out of me! (I was the same with the old runaway mine train ride!) Yet I know I’m missing out big time… 🙁
