Main Street USA has no shortage of hidden gems. From special names in windows to real cannons, the street invites visitors to explore and immerse themselves in the turn-of-the-century life around them. But one hidden gem is a little mysterious. I’ve never been able to find any backstory or explanation for an office, at the edge of the hub beside the former Main Street Photo Supply Co. So I’ve just been calling it the film office.

Film Office

This office is packed with old family photos. I would guess they are photos of the Disney family, but I have no confirmation. The woman below looks a bit like Walt’s mother Flora, but is it her? And if not, who are the people having photos developed on the street?

You’ll also see many details reminding you of the time period, from an antique fan to a typewriter. With a hat and coat on the rack, the resident of this office is clearly working today.

If you have any information about the film office, please let me know! I’d love to know more about the photos on display and the meaning behind some of the decorations.
