There’s a weird, magical little shop hidden in Galaxy’s Edge. Visitors from other planets often find themselves in awe as they stand in the Den of Antiquities, a mysterious place with eclectic treasures stacked from floor to ceiling. Look up to the balcony, and you’ll spot a familiar creature: the wampa!
Wampas come from the planet Hoth, the snowy location of the Echo Base featured in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Star Wars’ official website describes the creatures in depth:
Wampas are powerful furred bipeds that dwell in the snowy wastes of the ice world Hoth. These hulking predators have razor-sharp fangs and claws, yet move with surprising stealth, relying on their white fur for camouflage while hunting prey such as tauntauns.
Dok-Ondar’s wampa is not dangerous though – it has long since been taxidermied and put on display. So if you’ve ever wanted to see a wampa up close, stop by the Den of Antiquities and gaze upon the ferocious predator from a galaxy far, far away.
