LOCATION

New Orleans Square – Tiana’s Palace sits along the Rivers of America waterfront in the square. To find this spot, head through the land toward the Haunted Mansion. You’ll see the courtyard on your left, just before the walkway to the train station.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Service Type – quick service
  • Seating – ourdoor courtyard
  • Reservations – no
  • Entertainment – none
  • Menu

Tiana’s Palace is the home of comfort food in New Orleans Square. Guests can enjoy Cajun and Creole inspired dishes in the open air courtyard looking over the Rivers of America – as long as they save room to try this location’s beignet flavors!

MY RATING – ★★★★☆

I’ve seen some really mixed reviews of the food here online, but I’ve honestly liked every meal I’ve had at Tiana’s Palace. Sure it’s not a Michelin-star, life changing dining experience, but I think the food ranks among Disneyland’s better options and I really like the dining area, especially at night.

MY FAVORITES

  • House gumbo
  • Cajun-spiced half chicken

TRIVIA

The restaurant’s name comes from Princess Tiana of Princess and the Frog. It’s a park version of the restaurant she opens at the end of the movie.

Prior to becoming Tiana’s Palace, this space housed the French Market Restaurant.

Imagineers drew inspiration for this restaurant from industrial buildings in New Orleans, especially sugar factories.

Inside the restaurant (where you order food), you’ll see lots of nods to Princess and the Frog, from Tiana’s giant gumbo spoon to a mural with Ray and Evangeline as stars in the night sky.
