LOCATION
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – The Toydarian Toymaker is right in the middle of the bustling marketplace section of the land. To find this shop, head into the covered marketplace, between the rebel-led west side and First Order controlled east side (between Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run). The shop is fairly easy to spot – it has a plush toy stand in front of the entrance and a staircase on the visible wall.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Merchandise – plush toys, action figures, and game sets
- Price Range – most items under $50, with a few pricier collectibles or sets
- Unique Features – special toys not for sale on the highest shelves, including a tauntaun rocking horse
Sure, you can buy a Star Wars plush in many different stores across the resort, but why not get one from Batuu’s own toymaker? This tiny shop has a big selection of toys, action figures, and gear all padawans (and grown ups) will love.
SHOPPING TIPS
This tiny store is almost always a zoo. I’ve rarely passed through the marketplace without seeing people swarming and exploring. However, crowds tend to flow through fairly quickly, since the shop isn’t as intricate as some of its neighbors, like the Den of Antiquities. If you want to purchase a toy, just be patient – you’ll get through the crowd and be able to grab what you need.
TRIVIA
The Toydarian Toymaker has a name – Zabaka! Pay close attention to the frosted window at the back of the shop, and you might spot Zabaka’s shadow passing by as she works away creating new toys.
Does the word “Toydarian” sound familiar to you? We’ve actually seen this species before in the Star Wars Universe. Anakin started out as a slave in Episode I on Tatooine, and his owner Watto was a Toydarian.
