Adventureland – The Tropical Hideaway is nestled in a cozy corner along the rivers of the Jungle Cruise. To find this spot from Main Street, follow Adventureland’s main path as it curves left. You’ll see the entry bridge on your left, next to the Tiki Room exit. If you’re coming from New Orleans Square, keep to the right of the main walkway. You’ll see the bridge right in front of you, past the end of the Jungle Cruise building.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – quick service
- Seating – open patio

- Menu
The madness of Adventureland can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but the Tropical Hideaway offers a perfect escape. This quick service spot boasts Disneyland’s largest menu of Dole Whips, including specialty flavors. Hungry travelers can also enjoy bao buns and other jungle sweets, all while overlooking the river and passing boats.
MY RATING – ★★★★☆
I’ve said before I’m not a fan of Dole Whip, so I’ll again defer to my friends who are. I asked 5 of them for a star rating, and the consensus was 4. They love the Dole Whips here, but the food is just ok. But even if you don’t want Dole Whip or food, I highly recommend the Hideaway as a resting spot – it’s very cool and has a lot of little hidden details.
MY FAVORITES
- Hawaiian chips
