Black Tap

May 2019 – present

LOCATION

Downtown Disney – Black Tap winds around the lower level of the large circular courtyard in the middle of the district. If you’re coming from the parks side, keep to the right of the main path, you’ll see it just beyond the Ballast Point entrance. And if you’re coming from the hotels side, you’ll see it on the left, behind the circular Uva Bar & patio.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Service Type – quick service
  • Seating – indoor dining room
  • Reservations – no
  • Entertainment – none
  • Menu

Black Tap is truly Downtown Disney’s indulgence spot. This is the restaurant for all things salt, sugar…the best of comfort food. If you want an instagram-worthy meal during your trip to Disneyland, Black Tap never disappoints. Grab a seat in the dining room if you want to stay awhile, or order a shake to go as you roam Downtown Disney.

MY RATING: ★★★★

The food at Black Tap is really good, but a word of warning: the portions are MASSIVE. The shakes, especially the “crazy” shakes, could easily be split between 3 people each. I’ve never been able to finish my full plate here. I’d highly recommend splitting things with the group – you can always go back and order more food if your first batch isn’t enough.

MY FAVORITES

  • The All-American Burger
  • Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad
  • Cookies ‘n’ Cream Supreme Shake

TRIVIA

This restaurant took real estate from three different former retail spots: Build-A-Bear, the Disney Dress Shop (now moved to another location), and RIDEMAKERZ.

The Downtown Disney restaurant is the only Black Tap location with a window just for ordering shakes.
