UPDATE (2022): The tree at the entrance to the treehouse has been removed as part of its re-theming. So sadly, Jabba is now a retired hidden gem.

With the opening of Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars characters and shows have slowly been fading out of Tomorrowland. But not all the tributes to a galaxy far, far away have left the rest of the park. Wander into the jungles of Adventureland, and you’ll find a strange (and debated) hidden gem: the Jabba the Hutt Tree.

Tarzan's Treehouse

Start your search at the base of Tarzan’s Treehouse. When you’re facing the stairs, turn to your left. Follow the trunk around about a quarter of the tree, where the bamboo railing is. You’ll see something strange within the trunk. Is that Jabba the Hutt?

A lot of fans insist that no, it’s not. It’s a knotted tree trunk. But others, myself included, see a familiar character.

It’s much easier to see the details of Jabba’s features in person, of course. So the next time you find yourself in Adventureland, head over and see if you’re team Jabba the Hutt Tree, or team knotted tree.
