LOCATION

Paradise Pier – Treasures in Paradise drew attention right as visitors crossed into the south side of Paradise Pier. To find the shop, visitors crossed the boardwalk bridge. The shop stood on the left side, across from Ariel’s Grotto.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Merchandise – Miscellaneous tees, toys, and candy
  • Unique Features – Amusement park ride vehicles & carousel horses on display

Treasures in Paradise extended the Victorian boardwalk theme into a shopping experience. Visitors browsed a wide variety of Disney souvenirs while wandering beneath carousel horses, vintage boardwalk amusement posters, and an authentic 1940s bumper car. The open shop spanned the length of the boardwalk’s upper deck, making it the perfect place to shop between thrill rides and drinks on the water.

CLOSURE

This shop was a casualty of Paradise Pier’s transformation into Pixar Pier in early 2018. Treasures in Paradise became Knick’s Knacks – maintaining the openness of the space but fully leaning into all things Pixar instead of a Victorian boardwalk. The new version opened in June 2018, and has been a popular shop in the area ever since.

TRIVIA

From 2010 – 2014, Treasures in Paradise’s entryway was home to a Duffy meet and greet.

The shop’s official description was: “Your search is over! Find a fun-filled treasured souvenir for the child on your list—children’s apparel; children’s hats; toys and dolls; saltwater taffy and other sweets.”
