And just like that, we’re in the final month of 2018! Disneyland’s closing out the year in full holiday splendor, with magical holiday décor in both parks.
Let’s take a look back at November at the Disneyland Resort!
DAPPER DAY
Once again, Disneyland hosted its bi-annual Dapper Day celebration. Visitors often dress in outfits both dapper and paying tribute to classic characters. My favorites I saw on Twitter were Roger Rabbit:
And Dumbo and Timothy S. Mouse.
A HOLIDAY FESTIVAL SPECTACULAR
The Festival of the Holidays kicked off this month in California Adventure. Now through early January, Paradise Gardens Park visitors have access to exclusive food carts, merchandise, and live entertainment celebrating global holiday traditions. (#1 on my list was the stuffing mac n cheese!)

MICKEY TURNS 90
On November 18, a very special mouse turned 90.
Disneyland celebrated with a huge parade, featuring tons of characters – including those not frequently seen at the resort.
Happy Birthday Mickey!
OTHER UPDATES
After a lengthy refurbishment, the Matterhorn finally reopened this month. Riders will enjoy a newly reorganized queue, with a little more room to breathe before approaching the tracks.
Tickets are now on sale for 2019’s Disneyland After Dark series. For more information about the two upcoming events, check out my post here.
Two new updates from Grizzly River Run this month. If you dare brave the rapids during the chilly winter months, you get a special pin featuring Humphrey the Bear. And if you’re soaked post-ride, you can stop by new “warming huts”. For $5, up to 5 people can step into what is basically a large air dyer. From what I’ve seen, they don’t work well if you’re really sopping wet. But for smaller splashes, they’ll help dry you up a bit.
And finally, Bing Bong officially arrived in his Pixar Pier confectionary. He calls out candy recommendations to shoppers every few minutes!
