This year marks a special anniversary for Mickey and Minnie…90 years! To celebrate, the Disneyland Resort is hosting a celebration all spring long, complete with new entertainment, specialty food and merchandise, and lots of ways to participate in the fun.

MICKEY’S MIX MAGIC

The celebration features a new nighttime show: Mickey’s Mix Magic. The show includes laser and light projections on Main Street, as well as the water screens on the Rivers of America (starting in March) and on the It’s A Small World façade. The show also features remixed Disney classics, including:

  • “I Wanna Be Like You” from The Jungle Book
  • “Ev’rybody Wants To Be A Cat” from The Aristocats
  • “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin
  • “Grim Grinning Ghosts” from the Haunted Mansion
  • “Let it Go” from Frozen

On weekends and select weeknights, the show includes fireworks (following the normal fireworks schedule).

You can find more information about Mickey’s Mix Magic here.

MICKEY’S SOUNDSATIONAL PARADE

An old favorite returns! Throughout the spring, Mickey’s Soundsational parade returns to Main Street for daily performances. The parade is almost the same as you’ll remember, with the addition of a few new celebratory floats.

FOOD & MERCHANDISE

The festivities also extend to food and merchandise. In both parks, you can try specialty churro flavors, from cookie butter to rice krispie to maple bacon. And both parks have a huge selection of treats themed for the event. The list is far too long to include in this post, but if you’re interested, Disney Parks blog has a full recap with tons of photos.
