Note: this post covers Disneyland’s refurbishment “season”, from January-March. For current scheduled closures, please visit here.
In just a few weeks, Disneyland will slide into one of its unofficial seasons: refurbishment season. Typically running from January through March, this is when the resort schedules a higher number of ride closures than at other times of year, taking advantage of the calmer stretch after the holiday rush. Refurbishments happen year round, but this window tends to bring the most noticeable changes.
Because Disneyland is always adjusting its refurbishment plans, this list will continue to evolve in the coming weeks. For longer projects, reopening dates often are not shared until the work is nearly finished, so you’ll see some attractions listed with reopening dates still marked as TBA.
Even with more closures on the calendar, this is a wonderful time to visit. Lines are shorter, dining reservations are a little easier to snag, and crowds are lighter, making it easier to move through the park and snap photos without a sea of people behind you.
