A lot of my friends didn’t understand why I was so excited to visit Walt Disney World last year. They all said the same thing: “Why’s it any different than Disneyland?” And keeping unique parks like Epcot and California Adventure aside, I completely understand the question. Each has basically the same setup, and a lot of the same attractions. But even those elements differ quite a bit from park to park. In short, they’re similar but not the same.

Anyone that follows this blog knows I’m detail obsessed, so it didn’t take long for me to start tracking all the subtle differences between Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. Here are a few comparison snapshots I captured during my trip, and there are way more than these! What are your favorite differences between the two parks?

  1. I find the treehouse one so interesting. One looks out at the busy Pirates and Adventureland intersection, and one is 100% jungle escape. I think the Disney World one fits better. There’s no way Tarzan would be hanging out with Pirates or be that near people.

    • You don’t think Jane warmed Tarzan up to people? Haha. In all seriousness, I think you’re right. The Magic Kingdom treehouse is a much more immersive experience.
