Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff

June 2018 – present

LOCATION

Pixar Pier โ€“ If you walk through Pixar Pier, Bing Bongโ€™s Sweet Stuff is almost impossible to miss. Head toward Pixar Pal-A-Round from any direction, and youโ€™ll see Bing Bongโ€™s marquee across the walkway, nestled beneath the Incredicoaster track.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Merchandise โ€“ Candy, pastries, chocolate, caramel corn, and other sweets
  • Price Range โ€“ Most items under $10, some collectibles over $40
  • Unique Features โ€“ Bing Bong himself, crying candy

Bing Bongโ€™s Sweet Stuff lives up to its name, selling pretty much every kind of candy or sweet treat you can dream up. The store has a huge collection of pre-packaged goodies, or head over to the counter and order something made at the resort. The shop also sells a few Inside Out and Pixar accessories, if you can tear yourself away from the candies!

SHOPPING TIPS

Out of all the shops in California Adventure, this is easily one of the easiest to navigate. Itโ€™s open, spacious, and never feels insanely crowded. Thereโ€™s no better or worse time to visit here, but I would NOT recommend buying candy on a hot day until youโ€™re ready to leave the land; the pierโ€™s direct sun and radiating heat from the pavement will melt your candy really quickly.

Honestly, even if you donโ€™t want candy, Bing Bongโ€™s Sweet Stuff is an excellent place to take a breather. The storeโ€™s floorplan is super open, and the shade and air conditioning make this spot a little haven in the brutal summer heat. On cold and rainy winter days, itโ€™s also a fun place to wait out a passing shower. And when the weather isnโ€™t a problem, itโ€™s an easy meeting spot if your group splits up.

TRIVIA

Bing Bong opened his shop before he was actually ready for his debut; he didnโ€™t appear at the end of the rainbow until a few months after Pixar Pier opened.

Sweet Stuff marks the transition between two โ€œneighborhoodsโ€ within Pixar Pier. To the left of the shop is the Pixar Promenade (not themed to any specific franchise), and to the right (including the shop) is the Inside Out neighborhood.
